In the hot tub after an awesome day yesterday doing a 20 odd mile run and the pub yesterday.

Still celebrating avoiding a drunk driver on Friday, he crashed into a car at the top of the village and then drove through the village at silly speed with the bonnet covering the windscreen! Just missing me and a couple of pals cycling back from a pub! He crashed into a tree at the other end of the village -young lad - stupid idiot

Watching back the cctv from the pub shows how lucky we were

Day off today so, of course, my geriatric body clock woke me up at 6.

Nice up here, although heading down to the land of smog later for a pre Christmas catch up with Mum & brother.

He won't be driving for a while at least and no one was hurt luckily.

Another one that’s dark, dank and damp. At some point I might attempt to go for ride if I can drum up the necessary enthusiasm.

Yep, the days get longer from here on (although apparently sunset was at its earliest about a week ago). Yay. That said it's grey and the rain is on it's way, so indoors activities it is and I've got a couple of mates coming over to do some sim racing so I can laugh at how cr*p they are 😈

Bike ride will have to wait till tomorrow.

Afternoon folks. Decided to take the gravel bike out for a ride. Rather damp in places and extremely slippy on the wet leaves. Some corn cob in a fast car decided he couldn't wait 2 seconds to pass and nearly had me off. Caught up with him later at the traffic lights so made full use of the bike box in front of his car. He got out and started to mouth off at me just as the lights changed. 🤭 I let him know what i thought of him and shot off down the road as he took abuse from other drivers for being a corn cob.
At another set of light just down the road I did the same, as I moved off I wished him a Happy Christmas as he appeared to have learnt his lesson.
Any enjoy the Xmas preparations folks.

Corn cobs are capable of inflicting damage or getting out of the car and trying to lamp you. Cycle shoes aren't the best for fisticuffs. Best avoid.

Couldn't see him attempting it in front of 20 or so drivers plus shoppers. Eitherway im not a pushover 1 on 1 even at 60.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
went to work and spent 6 hours scrubbing or replacing floor markings then home for sunday lunch and a nap . Weights session followed by a zwift session is enough for me today .
