Hi,
I'm new to this group but saw a bunch of you out on a ride at the weekend - looked like fun.
I'm keen to join you on Sunday 15th, if that's ok.
I'll be on a road bike. I'm not particularly fast but can manage longish distances. I'm also very fond of cake!
Hopefully this ride is suitable for me?

Certainly - you'll be fine.
No-one will get dropped, and I'm aiming to go at a sociable speed.
SteveVW is coming on a singlespeed, so there'll be no ridiculous hills.
If you know the area, I'm thinking of Roebuck Inn to Lytton Arms as being the worst climb, with St Pauls Walden to Preston as a close second. Cake stop in Whitwell.
No-one will get dropped, and I'm aiming to go at a sociable speed.

Looks like my Dad is going in for heart surgery tomorrow so I don't think I'll be able to make Sunday. I'll see how he is and let you know definitely on saturday.

I might still be able to make this, my Dad is still waiting to be transferred to Harefield Hospital for his op, but has now picked up MRSA whilst he's been in the hospital he's in now. So now he has to wait till a room away from the main ward becomes available, maybe tomorrow, but I can't see him having his op before Monday.
