Tis a bit damp here in Fife so not a great day for the tree surgeons who already at it. Not sure what’s planned for the day although there was some mention of fitting curtain poles.

Still warm down here and due to get warmer in the week. The hounds are outside sunning themselves on the decking until they realise that black fur and sunshine = hot. Going to have a bit of a lazy one today.

Survived DD1's 18th birthday party (episode 1). As the designated driver it was a great exercise in observing the fallibility of youths who think themselves infallible but, in truth, if you go down the pub and stay sober age is no barrier to talking bollox and ridiculous behaviour by 11 o'clock.

Weather's meh, so might go for a long slow run to squeeze out the lethargy or possibly tinker with a bike.

Will definitely drink coffee.

I'm just surprised you were let anywhere near a teenager's birthday gathering. Most would ask you to drop them off at the pub/pick up again round the corner and out of sight of their mates.

They were a pleasingly nice crowd. Even indulged me in my online quiz about DD1. Sometimes there's cause to have hope in the next generation.

Got up and made coffee x2.
Picked up poo.
Chores including washing, pots, online returns.
Fished for a few hours, very enjoyable pellet waggler session.
Shower.
Pub.

A lorry snapped a neighbouring electrical pole in half at lunchtime. Amazingly replaced by 7.45pm.
