I'm driving out to East Coker with my cycle group and then doing a 40 mile loop to Sherborne and back.

For the first time in months I'm working tomorrow. Hoping to get out for a hill walk and a bit of a (windy) picnic on Sunday.

Taking freinds for a practise ride saturday, in preperation for our Amsterdam ride, sunday will be out about ten, and will do a loop of epping, potters bar and barnet, looking forward to that one.

It'll be 20 miles in the morning - which is all I can fit in

Heading for Selby too from my wee village north of York, via Tadcaster, Sherburn, Selby, then back thro' York via the "Solar system" Sustrans cycletrack. Approx' 70 mls. Looking forward to wearing shorts for a change.

SWMBO is in Dundee this weekend (which is totally gutting!), so may be forced to go out on bike on Sunday too. Big loopy route via Helmsley is preferred option.

Do not give Postman the job of leading a ride.Despite a map of part of the ride and his lovely daughter printing off the route including street names times and distances.He and his mate were so busy talking they took the wrong road away from Shadwell Leeds 17.When they noticed Dave suggested turn around oh no we will get chance to cut across somewhere.No they could not.So ride changed from Selby and went pear shaped.Tadcaster Wetherby and finished up in Knarebrough.58 miles instead of 42.And to cap it all off.Two miles from home a car caught my bar end really shook me up.He kept on driving.i chased him down to his home lost my temper bollocked him.then saw the error of my ways.Went into his garden shook him by the hand put my hand on his shoulder and said i was sorry.He also said sorry.i told him not to get upset over the weekend.But take care when he sees a cyclist.i don't think he even saw me.i think he was in his seventies.
