Apparently Bled is regarded as a very cost effective ski resort ideal for beginners and families. In the summer you can get the cable car up and use some of the ski lifts to sightsee.

The "in Bled" ski lift is just a teeny tiny beginner slope, and needs to be quite cold / snowy to actually be covered / skiable. its also serves one of those on a rail coaster / toboggan runs in summer.

Driveable from Bled are a number of ski resorts, such as Vogel, Krvavec, Kranska Gora, Soriska, Cerkno, so quite a good place to base yourself to get a bit of variety s all Slovenia ski resorts are pretty small by "Main Alps" standards. Its had a couple of lean years snow cover wise recently, it benefits most from weather systems whipping up the Adriatic which are less frequent than a front coming over from the west.

Vogel has a big cable car up from Ukanc, and lots of hiking trails from there in the Summer and is particularly scenic, overlooking Lake Bohinj.

Ah yes that looks familiar, although I've only seen it covered in snow! It is a cracking little resort.
