I've not measured it yet, but Google suggests most suntour jockey wheels are for 6mm bolts, and that sounds about right.
Unfortunately the door to my shed is falling apart and locking/unlocking a right palaver at the moment so popping in to measure is not a quick job! Will measure tomorrow when I'm next in the shed.

@Dogtrousers that's gutting, the skitter is a really nice rear mech. Ah well, 'tis the best/only way to learn not to have it happen again!
