Superbowl LIX

I've always watched UK TV coverage of it, though this year I had been mostly watching Youtube highlights.

Most years I have watched until half time in the Superbowl before going to bed, then trying to avoid the result until I could watch the rest.
This year, having gone part-time in work, with my normal pattern being wed-Fri, I was able to watch it all

I have loved watching the chiefs, but that really was a trouncing. I've never seen Mahomes put under so much pressure. The chief's defence didn't actually play that badly - as witness the fact that the Philadelphia quarterback had the most rushing yards of anybody in the game. Two of their touchdowns were pick-6, and another was from an interception within range of one pass.

Don't suffer fools gladly (must try harder!)
It really isn't.
Even without adverts, my experience (here in the UK) is that a game can easily last that long.

My younger son used to play. In the days before he could drive. I used to take him to a game, watch the first quarter, then go for a very long walk, stop off at a convenient pub for a drink, walk a bit more, then return to the venue in time to watch the last quarter.

Not disputing that it's a long game (3 hours is about the average), just that it's not 2 hours of adverts with some prancing about.

As I said up thread, it's just part of the game and I don't think there's a way to speed it up. There's also an element of it being tailored around it being a social occasion, whether that's at the game or at home, which is quite different to the UK approach to sport.
