I'm off work with a flu like cold, so I've got a bit more time to cook. So:

RSPCA approved freedom chicken thighs (actually cheaper than the scrapings of some Polish broiler house)
Mushrooms
Diced smoked bacon
Onions
Wine
Cream
Garlic
Tarragon
Carrot slivers to add colour

Perhaps some peas and pink fir apple potatoes to go with it? What do you think?

(I realise that within three posts theclaud will arrive with gigot of locally raised salt marsh lamb stuffed with organic Fairtrade figs and home grown apricots :biggrin:)

Sounds good to me.

I'm going to have home made pizza (a la Delia), cos I've got the ingredients for that and can't be bothered to go to the shops for anything more interesting!

I love this approach to eating chicken. Who was it said that we won't be able to buy a chicken portion without reading its personal obituary soon?

What I have is a family to feed and duty calls. It was murder in work this morning, but I had a sleep at home at lunchtime and started to feel a bit better.
