Surly Straggler Comfort?

Hi guys

Interested in building up a straggler, and was wondering what people thought of its feel and comfort? I'm thinking a straggler as it seems I could front load it (the pack rat looks good but don't fancy v brakes or canti's). I hope to ride some audax events, along with some of my own long rides. I have a slight feeling that it may be too stiff and juddery though? Cheers, Ian

It's a Surly so will go on forever but it is a bit more head down than a LHT or Disc Trucker but only way you'll really know is trying it really.

If Surly's appeal to you also consider the Midnight Special as it has flat mounts and can take thru-axle wheels.

Big fan of Surly. I own two.

I Audax on something else but occasionally I use my Disc Trucker and it is supremely comfortable but heavy. I’ve seen others using this, the Cross Check and something called a Pacer which isn’t made anymore.
