One of the major problems with my old 26" wheeled Dahon was that, while it would fit easily into our A6, getting it into our convertible Mini was possible, but very tricky and meant I had to drive with the roof down.
The Brompton on the other hand could have been made to fit in.
Certainly surprises a few people when I get out of the car in full cycling kit and then proceed to get the bike out the back
