Exchange and Mart used to be a treasure trove of "Swedish fighter pilot nylon jackets" and other ludicrously expensive military tat that was irresistible to teenage boys. I never quite got round to cobbling together a survival kit of windproof matches, fish hook, nylon fishing line, razor blade, small candle etc, all tied up in a condom to make it waterproof. I think you were supposed to use the condom to light a fire or something.
