On their website it says this

Individuals can report anyone they think is planning to drive after drinking in the following ways:
- by texting 65999 with the three Ws: What car, Where it is, and When it will be driven
- by telephoning 101 (the national non-emergency number), or
- anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
If anyone sees a driver on the roads and suspects that they're driving drunk, they should dial 999.
Would you?

Able to text. Seems very modern. Chapeau to them.

I've reported drivers who I think were very likely to be drunk whilst I was out on the bike twice, to somewhat mixed results, but I don't suppose that was what you were asking.

The ex's Dad was very bad at doing this and often you would find out about it later.

Meanwhile the reckless sober seem to get away with it unchallenged.
Yeah like the sober looking prick i had to avoid last night while cycling home. He was sat there observing the speed limit etc yet he couldn't be bothered to put even his side lights on( at 11pm) or indicate for me as he turned off right in front of me!!

So you weren't cycling at a safe distance if his manoeuvre gave you cause for concern.....

Know your limits

Does reporting a crime to the police make one a snitch?

I've reported my neighbour to the police a few times for being drunk, swearing and causing a nuisance, he has been a pain in the arse since he moved in to our block of flats, on the 7th January next year he is been taken to court to be evicted, he's been given loads of chances, but no he is just an alcoholic pisshead and he will never change.

Yes I can, Yes I am, Yes I did...Repeat.
If they were definatly over the limit and heading for their car yes i bloody well would...I'd try to dissuade them first for their own good and others...drink driving is abhorrent...kids, mums, dads, grandparents die because of idiots who drink and drive. Zero tolernace well done plod, we should get behind them on this and help keep drunk drivers off the road. I have absolutly nothing against people getting drunk and having fun if that is what floats their boat, but get a cab or a bus home please...for your own sake if nothing else..no licence, no car, no job, washed up as one of lifes losers, imagine the guilt you will carry all your life if you mame or kill somebody...how you going to feed your family with no income? What are your kids going to say to you? Grow up and take responsibility for your own actions and respect the rights of others on the road to be safe. DONT DRINK AND DRIVE.

I reported an ex boyfriend for DD as he had had something like 8 pints and a couple of whisky chasers before driving home from a party. I refused to get in the car with him. His father was a big DDer too, I called 999 on him too. Sadly the police caught up with him after he had smashed in to a MPV on a roundabout. They threw the book at him but he continued to drive while banned.

Ex-bf's mother reported both father and son for DDing so I was in good company there.
