Cyclist badly hurt as car door opens
REDLAND: A cyclist was taken to the BRI with head injuries after being knocked off his bike.
It is understood he fell to the ground after the passenger of a car in Coldharbour Road opened one of the vehicle's doors and collided with him.
The incident happened opposite Fabric Magic at 2pm yesterday.
Police were called and shut the road at its junction with Linden Road for around two hours.
A double-crewed ambulance and a Rapid Response Vehicle also attended the scene.
A police spokesman said the cyclist had also possibly broken an elbow.
