Just bought a front brake caliper and the pivot is too short. Not that easy to find a 29mm plus length, which is what i think i need. And they are £5+ Anyone fancy a swap? Save some weight ;-)

You might just need a longer nut, rather than the pivot bolt

Yep - saw that one, thanks. But the options are both way too short. Sorry for any confusion - various websites describe the item as a bolt or a nut or a pivot, sleeve, centre, sunken, recessed.... the list goes on. But the link indeed illustrates the item i'm after - just longer!

You got it Yahudamoon :-) Actually, it's £8 + £3 delivery. I paid £14 for the caliper and don't want to spend another £11 getting a fixing nut - and dump a perfectly good one. Hence this thread. But the link is appreciated, Sharky.

Thanks Nibor - that is indeed now plan B. I thought i'd quickly try this forum first, but it was always a bit of a long shot.

Edit - popped into my local Evans and a very nice chap fished one out of his spares box and refused to take any money for it. Must say i've usually had good experiences there and this was no exception.
