Oaf on a Bike
I'm about to ditch my rucksack in favour of something to put on a rack, i'd like something that's easy to carry off the bike too though.

Those 'DJ' bags are just called record bags iirc, very similar to messenger bags

I take the car in at the weekend and drop off clothes for the coming week. For daily commuting I use a Carradice super C Saddlepack which is plenty big enough

I was also another that switched from rucksack to panniers, especially for site visits when locks and full set of clothes started to aggravate my shoulder after an RTA. Shoulder is now fixed, but don't won't go back to rucksacks.

Aldi had their bike event a couple of weeks back and they had some rucksacks then.
I got one and similar to the Lowe Alpine Air zone 25 it has a section that keeps the bag away from your back and allows air flow. Only £15. My local aldi still has a few left so it may be worth taking a look...

Altura bar bag for me. Easily detachable for that Testarossa look. Takes trousers, shirt, shreddies (when I remember them!), socks, spare tube, levers, spanner (fixed y'see), flannel, sandwiches and fruit. Water bottle in bottle cage. Soap and deoderant live in desk drawer. Commuter type shoes can be worn round the office so no need to carry another pair.

That sounds preferable to 2 suitcases draped over my back wheel tbh. Soap and deoderant what are these things you speak of  I have baby wipes which i carry with me so im sorted on that front. It is literally 1 bottle of water, packed lunch, wallet and if i had room to screw up my Night Vision jacket in the bottom that would be a bonus but not a game changer.
