Swindon area cycle clubs

Hi and Merry Christmas everyone!

Anyone here from clubs in/around Swindon...? Particularly looking for an accommodating club that takes on newbies (ie.slower folk like me!)

I've been convinced to join FOD sportive in May so need to put in some proper century training after the festive season. Thought it would be good to find some more like minded peps that could offer advice and encouragement....

Swindon Road Club is the main club, Swindon Wheelers is another. Google should help with specifics.

Swindon road club do a ride out to Greasy Joe's in Cirencester on a Saturday morning. Two groups, one fast, one slower. Nice easy route, pan flat.

Have a look at the Great Western Sportive too, based at Nationwide's headquarters on Pipers Way. Normally mid June, some tough hills in that.
