Not if you make the effort to thank them. They often look shocked when I do this. If it wasn’t for them there would be nowhere to park.
What?? They give you a ticket and you thank them:blush:

Its a thankless job but some some just enjoy the power thing too much.
Once, in London, I had a reserved space but there were 2 workmen and a çone in the way.
I, literally got out of the car to ask him to move it...... 15 seconds.Turned around and a warden was giving me a ticket.
He told me he was on commission.
I took photos and sent details to Westminster council and they overturned it.

I wish I saw them in my home town.
Parking enforcement was made a responsibility of the local council many years ago, rather than the Police. Since then it has been a chaotic free for all as no one seems to be employed to enforce the restrictions. There are yellow lines everywhere, but they are meaningless without enforcement. Bring back the wardens I say, and slap tickets onto the cars left illegally parked by the FLB's..
