System Generated URLs

Not terribly interesting

The forum often automatically generates URLs if we mention the name of prominent cycling businesses.

However I noticed that it has also done this for the name Eddy Merckx (It didn't do it just now though).. But the link doesn't take us to the website of the bike company named after the cannibalistic Belgian gentleman. Instead it gives a Cyclechat page not found error.

Although I accept the site does it for affliation rewards its a bit annoying and you need to remember to double check. I recently mentioned the River R i b b l e and it changed it to a link to a bicycle company.

Interesting! On the original post I noticed it on I just checked back and it had changed it despite me removing it originally. Changed it to R i b b l e.
