Tacx Flux (original) on simulator no resistance change

I have a Tacx Flux original (not S or 2) which works perfectly on Zwift, but I can't seem to get it to change resistance. It connect and recognises the power and other data. I have tried a couple of courses and it shows me riding up hill, the slope number doesn't seem to change. Any ideas Im using it on a Mac

Unpair it all and repair as a controllable trainer first

Download Tacx Utility and make sure it's up to date

Have you paired it as a controllable trainer? There will be two options for the trainer - ANT+ or ANT+ F-EC and you need to choose the latter to get the resistance changes.

That's assuming you are using ANT+ to connect not bluetooth.
