Taking the lane

I have done a video of where I deliberately took the lane by putting myself in an offside position. I can get a good speed on this section. The reason for taking the lane is because any motorists wanting to overtake would have to move into the other lane to do so. Sitting in a secondary position in this section has often led to me being squeezed.

I notice the local council like 'Cheese grater' pavements and centre islands. Keep away from these at all costs.

My video software seems to automatically re-sample the video at 25fps instead of 30fps as recorded by my camera, which would account for the jerkyness. As for the camera pointing up to the sky, the camera is angled on my helmet such that it is pointing up slightly, otherwise all you would see is road. The final bit where I am filtering, because of the lack of soundtrack you don't hear the red Volvo beep me and then hear me tell her to open her eyes and look.
