Each to their own, I guess - I can't get past the excessive autotune and the backing seems quantized to the point of Casioification.

Just my twopenneth though

Pretty poor imo. A piece of sanitised X-factor pop for the undiscerning.

Look at Rosie singing - casually sitting on a bench bumbling along without a care in a world. Now watch a really good singer and you'll see the effort they go to get their breathing right and form the words properly.

I'd like to hear them perform that live - actually I wouldn't.

Even the ex-WAG Geordie lass with the (mighty fine to be fair) tattooed bum could do at least as well if not better.

I think it sounds bloody awful, but then I haven't heard the original so maybe Adele's version is just as bad.

Too much autotune.

Of course it was dub reggae producers who really pushed forwards the use of the recording studio as an instrument in its own right, rather than just a means of recording. Cheap sampling and recording technology has really opened things up, and there are a lot of producers doing fantastic work with it, but it's become very easy to just turn out trite sounding dross with no real thought put into it.

@Specialeyes is right, that backing track sounds like the "reggae" demo tune on a cheap keyboard.

Always good to start by alienating your audiance.

If you really are interested in watching a woman lip syncing over a reggae song then try this, it's called m.u.s.i.c
