Spring morning riding, very much feels nicer than even just last week. Despite all the cars reappearing

Excellent - might have to re-think the wardrobe for tomorrow !

Fragile this morning thanks to a dearth of both sleep and caffeine.

Despite the decent forcast I wasn't looking forward to the ride in, however I took it steady and it was really pleasant.

The mild temperature and glorious warm spring sun on my face were most appreciated, while the bellend count was low and I had some nice experiences thanks to others throughtfulness.

I particularly appreciated the the driver behind me on the main drag in who was happy to hang back and give me plenty of space as he didn't feel the need to race past to get stuck up the arse of the car in front like many, as well as the restaurant worker piloting a fat commercial wheelie bin who actually stopped and looked before crossing the road I wanted to turn into.

I think the weather's had a positive effect on many and it shows in their attitudes.. which is very welcome

Double digits temps and sunshine tomorrow. Crikey. That’s turnaround. Last week I wore a balaclava. Gonna have to dig out the spring/summer kit.

Morning all.
@wafter said, it's a very nice morning for a cycle commute. Except for a total and utter bellend white van driver who decided to execute a left hand turn after over taking me. Luckily the old spider senses were working well and I managed to turn with him. He got a mouthful of words through his open window explaining that perhaps if he actually used his mirrors rather then just blindly turning in, he may have actually seen me. He replied with a finger. As I said, bellend.
Apart from that, I think it's teacher training day or some sort today so roads were pretty clear for a nice ride in.

Sorry to hear that - it's utterly pathetic how most just respond with aggression when faced with the cold reality of how their own stupidity / shortcomings have endangered others.

Presumably they resort to this because they're too thick to consider their own actions / their pathetic little ego is too fragile to accept any responsibility.

Tossers like this really boil my p*ss and present a very good reason to have a camera on the bike..

They boil mine too, totally arsechickens.

I'll never get a camera. I just can't be arsed with all the faff to be honest with you. And I would probably incriminate myself with my potty mouth

I've had a camera in the past, cops would do nothing and I'd just fester on things. For the faff it wasn't worth it for me.

I'd much rather cycle with a radar these days anyway.

Yeah, really ruins one's day to be abused with impunity by such knobheads, doesn't it?

I feel the same about the camera; equally I've got a short fuse and knowing I might actually achieve some real-world repercussions for these idiots might help prevent my vitriol from escalating the situation.. plus I get increasingly anxious about being involved in a serious incident at the hands of these muppets so again, a record would be good were the stakes to be raised in this way.

I'd probably get one if decent ones weren't so bloody expensive - I resent shelling out many hundreds of pounds to try and protect myself against the stupidity and arrogance of others..

Today's ride back was less pleasant. Potentially last / penultimate kickboxing session was good and has me second-guessing my decision to leave when the starter session ends at the end of the month.

Afterwards, somewhat sad and conflicted I headed aimlessly in the general direction of town, the glorious morning's sunshine having turned to dark and drizzle. Had a bit of a dangle to try and un-shaft my shoulder after earlier pressups, my extended arms doing a great job of channelling the water droplets on the monkey bars all the way down the inside of my sleeves to my armpits..

Scored a few things at the supermarket but was utterly ruined by the end of it, no doubt not helped by my so-far two-day abstinence from the usual 2-400mg of caffeine I've become used to daily... feeling so drained that I actually mused upon leaving the bike locked up and getting the bus home.

Bed can't come soon enough.

Uneventful ride in, incident involving two cars on the ride home. Luckily no one hurt both couples and police talking at the side of the road.
