Grey and windy today but at least its still dry for a few days. Got on at the other end of the train today, so hopefully I don't come across the same jerk as last week.

Morning folks.
The temperature is a bit higher then yesterday but the wind has picked up.

Had a twat on an e-bike who swerved in front of me as the lights turned green forcing me to pull on the brakes. He got words. Just a normal run of the mill e-bike so although he could pull away quick, he topped out at the 15 mark so the couple of times he overtook me at lights, on the flat I left him for dust.

Anyhoo.. this is Deptford. Every now and again, the arches get a graffiti makeover. These ones caught my eye. Fabulous.

There's always one tosser isn't there.
Funnily enough that was the exact term that sprang to mind... personally I think if I caught some dickhead laying hands on my bike, I'd struggle to resist laying hands on their face....

An uneventful one this morning - begrudgingly awake at 5 again and unable to get back to sleep; at least I had time to wash my hair and do the usual morning tasks without having to rush.

Weather was less pleasant than yesterday; chilly and overcast with a fair breeze; meaning I had to stop to don a fleece atop my optimistic single base layer.

Missed eye contact and the usual morning hello with my suspected mystery benefactor of yesterday; which may or may not have been intentional on her part so the awkwardness continues..

Went all-out on sausages today; which varied between acceptable and splendid. Also bought some scratchings

It wasn't me!
Commute this morning rolled fairly easily due to a light tailwind. Spotted a fairly big bird of prey but it was too far away to recognise which species. In Münster I met a red squirrel.
On the way home the wind wasn't light anymore but in compensation for that it was of course headwind most of the time. So I needed 20 minutes more. On the other hand I spotted the first European peacock in 2026 and heard at least one kestrel.

With you talking about birds, I also thought so was the European Peacock. Then I thought, hang on, that's a butterfly!

I take it you were standing next to your bike when this happened, right? He sounds like Mr. Angry.

Sitting opposite but with my face to the door and my bike out of the left of my eye, but my back to where Mr Angry came from. He must have squeezed by a lot of folk to get there.
The bike rack on the right of the aisle is directly opposite these seats on the left of the aisle, I was in the seat closest to the bike (the only one in the picture you can see in full)
