I'm having to be brave and face days without cake. Seeing my tum in some holiday snaps has given me motivation.

It was due to be wet on the way in so I wore a lightweight Galib waterproof, but the rain stayed off. At least it kept the wind chill away & I can pack it away for the way home if it remains dry. One close pass to report, driver of a small van CBA to turn the wheel a little further to the right unlike everyone else.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Full winter gear again this morning so if the weather is as predicted I shall be carting loads of extra layers home later. Put the saddle back up to the old position as it felt like I was struggling to get on top of the gears yesterday.

Longer return ride done - wasn't so keen as the wind was hard on the two miles South from work before I turn East, but carried on in a Southerly direction into the wind. 20 miles under the belt 30 for the day.

G'morning folks.
A bit nippy again this morning. 4° showing on the thermometer. But nice and sunny. It's looking like a cracking day.
Mist over Rochester.

I was very lucky for yesterday evenings commute. It decided to pee it down quite heavy 10 minutes before leaving. Luckily it only lasted about 15 minutes so I left in the dry but on very wet roads.

Fab photo.

Beautiful all day but when I was about to leave the office it turned grey but still not too bad. The train was packed and I was 4 stops down the line before I convinced the last person blocking the cycle rack to move down a bit so I could squeeze the bike in and get it clear of the doors.

A couple of stops down the line another cyclist got on. At first I was a bit perturbed as their bike was a bit bashed up. But it was marginally bigger than mine, so it was mostly clear except for their chain guard which the rider was scraping off my pedal. Their poor bike I felt sorry for it.

I got the earlier train so I could make a group ride. I made the ride but by the time I got off the sun had disappeared and the wind had really got up. Being right in the middle of the peak, as opposed to being at the end of it, it was total chaos and the only thing moving was a bike, even into the mammoth headwind.
