I have made two reports via Operation Snap here in South Wales, and on both occasions they responded saying positive action would be taken.

Warm this morning. Avoided the showers, but just had overshoes on to keep my tootsies dry. Had to stand under the dryer to dry off as I was dripping in sweat - got the desk fan cooling me down now !

Raining almost al the way in today, but not cold, and not windy, so actually not an unpleasant ride.
Loving the change from Marathon+ tyres to GP5000 Tubeless - the three commutes since I changed have all been about 1mph faster than my previous best this year.

Some evil person has put a 'butty van' right outside the entrance to our building as it's a student 'open day'. £2.40 for a bacon butty or £2.95 with a drink. How evil. Here is me on my 'overnight oats'. Resistance, resistance.

On the way to the company: Close pass from a tractor driver with a manure trailer on a narrow road after he honked several times on me. While overtaking me he turned backwards and yelled something. Reported it to the police this evening.
Shortly after that I saw a great spotted woodpecker and later had a close pass from a BMW driver.
On the way home there were four white storks, a few green finches and a woman in her car overtaking me on a small road with her phone on her ear.
Decided to try a lower gear today - mostly 44:22 instead of 44:21 which I formerly used. Turned out that I'm not slower than usual and therefore I probably will switch to a 42 teeth big chainring on the commuter.

Lost 10kg in the last 3 months, so keeping it up a while. This even includes two holidays and illness in the middle. I am trying to behave a little.
it can be quite demoralising though when the police put up alot of barriers to reporting it, and if you do battle you way through to submit something, being told it didnt meet their threshold (aka cant be bothered to prosecute) or if it did well the driver just got a warning letter, which gets filed in the bin no doubt.
so you do start to question yourself whats the point, as when I started I was reporting quite frequently, drivers were getting prosecuted, and then I was reporting the same level of bad driving, but the police seemed to stop taking any interest, and after a few years of feeling like I was just hitting my head against a brick wall and not achieving anything, because Im seeing no improvement in driving behaviours around cyclists, nobody ever passes me as if their manner of driving could end up with them getting a fine or points on their license, most of them seem completely oblivious to the concept you might even be carrying camera and drive like complete anchors around you.
Im not saying dont get a camera, I wont ride thesedays without a camera, but its there for evidence if I get hit, I just cant deal with the hassle of reporting the other stuff anymore, because even if I was only reporting the worst stuff (that didnt include being hit obviously) like stuff that made me fear a collision, it would be one per week easily thesedays.
crazy day on the roads this morning, not sure if everyone had overslept following last nights soccerball, but not only did it seem like there was twice as much traffic,even compared to the day before, they were driving twice as fast too, if only the guy with the speed camera had turned up today he might have had more business to deal with.
but loads of close passes, one in front of an oncoming police car, which shows you how little drivers pay attention to their surroundings.
further on I had another police car with sirens, coming from behind this time, and I saw traffic on the other side of the road briefly slow and pause, which I figured meant the police car was overtaking traffic on their side, and a quick shoulder check I thought the cars behind me were slowing to stop, so I slowed to a halt, only to then be overtaken by the two cars who were immediately behind me and clearly hadnt stopped and hadnt spotted the thing with the loud siren and the flashing lights bearing down on them, 5 seconds later they finally notice and had to stop.
then to cap it off, theres a junction I turn right at, and I like to take up an early turn position, to force anyone thinking of overtaking to go into the other lane, though I have to be careful not to give succour to undertakes too. however today driver decided couldnt be bothered to wait for me to clear into the turn, so just overtook fully in the other lane and at crazy speed, which scared the driver in that lane heading towards them somewhat.
