Not a commute but last night I had a car travelling a ridiculous speed on an uncla back road (my Garmin Varia says he was doing nearly 70mph). They overtook on a bit of blind bend (more of a swerve tbh, I doubt they saw me to the last second travelling at that speed), before instantly swerving left to avoid a head on. I shook my head too, that was enough to have them stop in the road do a u'turn and come back at me. They were travelling that fast though by the time they done that, I had turned into the even smaller Haddon Road.

Somewhere around here.

The schools are back in full force this morning here in SE London. Which meant lot's of kids all over the place and the traffic that comes with it.
Very muggy this morning also, got a bit of a sweat on with a nice bit of SCR with a single speed rider. Even though he was quick out of the blocks he just didn't have that extra needed gear to go just that little bit faster. Jolly good fun.

Nope, been trying to work out what SCR is (I don't think you mean the Giant SCR bike) - what is it?

Nice ride in. The schools are back though.

It was good to see some Dads accompanying the new year 7 boys cycling to school on a "bike train", although disappointing to see the Fiesta driver attempt an incompetent & unwise overtake of the little pack, resulting in the Fiesta stopping on the wrong side of the road and forcing an oncoming driver to completely halt.
Is that Avatar from Aldi two buns for £1-49 my favourite bun when i go for a walk and a latte,i eat them before i arrive at my cafe.

The cycleway between here and the next village has been closed, so the local authority can drive diggers and trucks up and down it while doing things to the river. This means I have to ride along the road for a couple of kilometres before I can rejoin the cycleway.

Apparently, at 6am in a rural German village there's not much happening: I was passed by one car. Later, passing an old mill, I startled a cat, and another passed me soon after carrying breakfast in its mouth.

Between my village and the next town I dealt with more cats than cars.

Also, my hat blew off.

We need pictures of the cats next time, please.
