As I set off the back wheel brake was rubbing so I had to adjust that and got a flat after only 1.5 miles , this cycling lark isn't all it's cracked up to be .

It is going to rain tomorrow, as I polished the commuter's frame at weekend. Sorry folks.
Approached a lights controlled roundabout, my lights were green so I carried on to be confronted by a car from my right who'd decided to ignore his / her red light and pass at speed about two metres in front of me - ! 
Biggest problem if there'd been a collision is actually proving the phasing of the lights.

I witnessed a bump this morning at lights. Car to my right was coming round the roundabout from two junctions over, and about to go down the road I was coming from. I was 'thinking' of pulling out in my van, when I saw another driver pull across from next lane (who should have waited for car one) and then got hit in the rear quarter by car one. Car two was on a P plate. Driver one should have seen this error from car two but didn't, but car driver two was at fault.
size can vary alot ime across brands, I go between small and large sometimes with remarkably similar fits on the arm, obviously some end up ridiculously oversized but they tend to be one off brands that Ive bought because they were supposed to match a specific jersey and sold as a bundle, they always say buy based on jersey size, which is nonsense imo, because jersey sizes are predominantly focussed on body size, not arm size.
but Ive found Castelli/Sportful small or mediums a good fit on skinny arms, and uniquely still sell them, much like overshoes, arm warmers seem to disappear from some brands for periods of time or just never get restocked. I guess the price puts people off, but Ive always found them more useful than a gilet.

Traffic was insane near the high schools. Proceded very carefully past all the traffic.
Awoke perky but knackered after a decent trip to the pub last night; getting up very late but managing to claw back a fair bit of time so I was only five minutes or so behind upon leaving.
An absolutely gorgeous morning - sunny and bright and a perfect temperature for riding.
Sadly quite a few low-level dickheads; I got overtaken at the end of an ascent by a small wagon carrying propane early on who evidently misjudged the manoeuvrer and ended up coming into conflict with an oncoming vehicle. While the whole thing was questionable and they could have pulled back behind me, at least they stuck it out (causing the other vehicle to slow) rather than cutting me up.. small mercies and that.
After all that once on the flat I picked up speed while the wagon dawdled; braking at every speed bump and noticeably hampering everyone's progress behind. In the end I overtook it and the car stuck behind it that had also recently overtaken me; leaving them convincingly behind.
Sausages get 7/10 - the best of a bad bunch that I appreciated being selected for me. Calf still aches from yesterday after getting smacked by the pedal but it's fairly trivial and it feels good to be exercising it. Yesterday's trimming injury remains a tiny, slightly angry scratch. No trimming today on time grounds.
Very much attempting to enjoy the weather while it lasts
