Mild and fine riding, fewer cars than normal. Not looking forward to this afternoon's deluge.

Shush.... checks forecast and buys a boat.

That's bad. Are you able to report stuff like this online? Do you ever get to hear the outcome?

Yes

I am fully confident that I will be told as follows in about 3 weeks' time, by Avon & Somerset Police..

"As a result of this report I can confirm a positive outcome in that the driver(s) identified in the submission(s) will receive either a warning letter, a fixed penalty or a prosecution.

We appreciate your time in making the submission and we review each one individually, thank you for helping to keep our roads safer.

Please note I am unable to provide any future information on the outcome of this submission."

I have no way of finding out which of the outcomes will apply here. From previous experience I would hope for more than a warning letter, but my confidence in the system is diminishing.

Have you ever seen the cars you've reported out on the roads and overtaking you again?
Did they give any extra space second time around?!

Steady ride home keeping the pedals spinning, although the traffic light gods were against me. I only got two sets on green (excluding pedestrian crossings). The threaded headset has remained tight with the new top locking nut.

How are your mudguards attached to the forks? Is there a special threaded hole at the bottom end of the forks?
Mine are held on by rubbery grips about halfway along the forks, but they keep slipping - not great, maybe the rubber's starting to perish.

Its a winter frame with dedicated mounts for full guards, the forks have a hole at their rear to bolt them into.

Thanks for the close-up.

I'm going to look out for maybe a simple bracket that I can attach to the dropouts/QR lever that will allow me to attach mudguards to it - I don't think my current mudguards will last much longer, the way they attach to the forks.

SKS Race blades long have a bracket that attaches to the QR. I used to fit them to my good bike which doesn't have eyelets on the fork.
