Dreich at the St'Evenage end. 90% of drivers stop at this junction despite it being marked giveway for cyclists, very courteous people. You could tell this guy wasn't going to give way though.

Got a space for the bike at the second stop on the line and a few stops later I got a seat next to it.

Rather damp at the Pottyboro end. Could have done without the tw@t undertaking the driver overtaking me at circa 80s in, only to swerve back in front of them. BN57 XLA the next time you'll be reported.

Had a puncture this morning (why's it always on the back wheel?) - first one since fitting the Schwalbe Duranos maybe 18m to 2y ago.
Was about 1km from work so decided to walk it from there, rather than attempt a roadside repair in the rain.

Good job I fixed this in the office, cos it took ages getting the tyre off the rim. And there was a chunky shard of glass that caused it - not surprised it got through the Durano tyre.

After all yesterday's rain its cleared and turned rather chilly, longs were definitely needed today. Apart from that nothing much happened. Except I had time to walk down to the far carriage for a picture or two. Capturing the non drive side of course 😉

Not as wet as initially forecast last night or this morning, but still rain about. Weird cars today, bunched congestion in unusual places and empty roads in normally busy areas. Close call as a car edged out of a sideroad right across my nose, but avoided no harm.

As wot @biking_fox has said. The predicted heavy rain didn't materialise this morning passing by overnight. And like @HLaB I dragged the longs out. For the first time this winter.

Had drizzle rain on the commute home last night
so rainy commute #30 for the year
Same period last year, 22 rainy commutes.

Same as @biking_fox, dry ride in, but crazy traffic in some areas (I was on a bridleway or bike path). Should have been collecting the car tonight, but the work hadn't been finished (couple of warranty issues and service and MOT). It's been in two days now. Missed the bike commute on Tuesday as I had to drop the car off.

All this walking hasn't helped some foot tendonitis on the outer edge of my left foot. It's fine on the bike, once I get the shoe beyond the 'lump' on my foot.

Gave blood at lunchtime (77th pint today!), so as usual took it nice and slow on the way home. Low gears, no rush, even freewheeling from time to time. I've never had any negative effects after giving blood, mind, so it was just a precaution.

I thought the bike space was actually free tonight only to get in and discover there was an old lady asleep across all three of the bike straps. I let her wake naturally which was 2 stops down the line and then I asked her politely to move up.

Timed it right tonight for the far end. When the train got past Huntingdon, the clouds over Pottyboro were black but by the time the train it was ending and within a few minutes the blue skies were glimpsing through the clouds.
