Talk To Me About Trousers

This won't be popular but..... I have two pairs of Rapha Cycling Trousers (and yes, I often roll up the right leg while I'm on the bike). The Rapha's are brilliant, I can wear them all day, on the bike, at work, in the evening. The most comfortable leg-wear I have on the bike and I happily go to meetings in them. Stupidly expensive but worth every penny. There, I've said it, do your worst.

I'd probably just wear a wear of cycle shorts underneath whatever it is you'd normally wear to such meetings, and pootle in slowly. Can use legbands if you don't want to tuck the legs into your socks.

View attachment 7550 It's perfectly possible to cycle without lycra, although he would need to tuck those trousers into his socks to keep them from getting caught in the chain...

Yes, but flares really are taking things a bit far!

I nearly always ride in either an old pair of ordinary trousers, or in standard sports type trousers. I'm alergic/ sensitive to lycra and get on fine.

In answer to the OP, if I'm going somewhere that needs smart or formal wear I just wear it on the bike and if needs be just slow down so as not to damage it. Always have done.
