Taxi driver picking up fare in nearside lane... still indicating left when I spot his wheels start to turn towards the offside. On my horn and covering my brakes; before it turns in to a situation the driver is waving his hand in apology. At the next set of lights, he apologises again.

Made my day, sadly.

I had something like that in October, the left lane at a roundabout was for left only and I was going straight on, so I was also in the middle of the road in the right hand lane (of only 2 lanes). the guy I had been "holding up" because the left lane came off the main route with priority going into the right hand lane, came alongside me on the left, wound down his window and in the standard agressive manner of a man trying hard to impress the women dressed for a night on the town demanded to know where I was going to and why I had no indicated. Slightly quicker than normal and a little too agressively for my own good I asked him "Is it 1 finger or 2 for straight on?" Not the best move, but luckily I got a gap in the traffic. thankfully he went left at the traffic lights. I don't usually bit back, but this time it felt good.
normally I'm a touch more 'timid' when it comes to actual confrontations, but do frequently block traffic from overtaking me if it is not safe (and they can't see its not safe and are going anyway, some have even said thank you, including one older man who pulled over in a parking spot further down the road and flagged me over; I wasn't sure about what was going on so almost didn't stop, but he all he wanted to do was thank me for preventing him hitting a lorry head on at a blind bend, a blind bend that kills people each and every year without fail).
