TCX - Garmin Edge 705

I've not yet used my Edge 705 for navigation but I've found a local circular route (TCX) that I've downloaded. My questions are, as I will not be stating the route at the same start point and I may want to ride the other way, how will the Edge handle this?

The 305 handles it fine if you don't start at the same point as the tcx and with my new 800 (I think the same as the 705 but with touc screen) I've deliberately went off route explored the map/area and rejoined the route and it continued just fine. If you have custom que points set up they wont work if you do the route back to front but the course will still show on the 305 (I've not doe it with the 800).

Can't you load the route into garmin connect and edit it to suit your needs?
