TdF but not such a tour though

thinking of mustering up a group of like minded biking buddies and have a long weekend to watch a couple of stages next year

was thinking of a pyrenees and a stage in between there and the alps.

putting the bikes on a roof rack, ferry down and riding as far up the pyrenees till our legs can take us (first hairpin?!) watch them come past and free wheel back down to car/tent

anyone else done this? any tips?

I know the start point has been released but when do they release details of the rest of the route?

the route is announced in October.

If it's an iconic mountain there will be plenty of people there so get up early. You may find the campsites busy in the area.
