I’m planning a Bastille Day French afternoon for my school and was planning one activity to be a TDF themed activity!

I’m thinking maps, jerseys, profiles of the riders etc! What else can I do?

Could you get a half decent road bike in as an example of a racing bike?

Could you do a quiz?

-name of last rider
-jersey colours, overall, climbers, points
-First English rider to wear the yellow jersey, or winner
-how long is this years, days, miles
-first ever tdf

Something about British riders? Or why some riders are good in the mountains and others in the sprints? Why the overall winner needs a team around him?

+ Why breakaways fail, something many non cyclists cannot get their head around is why riders way ahead get caught and typically dropped. Have no concept of the effect of the wind.
