Well, my money is safe. Item just sold for nearly twice my maximum bid and I was adamant I wasn't going to raise it.

I had to enter the alien world of the comestics counters in Browns....
I've had to endure Claire's at the Trafford Centre to get tacky girlie makeup and accessories for my God daughter. I can't believe that she will be over then moon with it but she will.

Is it mean to give a 12 year old boy a Bop It?;)

It might not be mean to give him a 'Bop-it', but I'd ask you to consider the sanity of the parents should he play it all over Christmas!;)

Gimme tea, I'm putting off test driving the new hoover, a stack of washing up, writing my CV and fixing a spreadsheet.

Ouch! The sort of thing that gets overlooked in the helmet debate... You ok, otherwise?

I am fine thanks, tough as old boots me!!! I keep discovering new damage, today I realise my jacket is ripped! I have been toting up the potential cost of my two seconds lack of concentration, if I replace like for like, ie new Altura jacket, new helmet, new ruck sack then the bill will be in region of £100 +

I can see another trip to Decathlon (cheaper) coming up to replace the bits, ah well I love a bit of shopping. Well for bike things I do!;)

Tea, please. Calming tea.

I've just returned from the first occasion where I've let WCMnr drive me in my car.

Actually, he's not bad, but I was doing my very, very best to sound calm, encouraging, praising the good bits and not screaming when he wasn't.

My Mum still stamps on the imaginary brake on the very, very rare occasions she lets me drive her - and I've had a clean licence for 22 years and drove 7.5 ton vans for a year. She does the same with my sister.

Have some calming tea. Tot of brandy in it?

The hoover works beautifully.
Most of the washing up is done, the rest needs drying and putting away.

It's the CV and the spreadsheet I am actively avoiding.B)

Any more tea?

The eldest Miss t is taking driving lessons at the moment and my 'Over Cynical Dad' head is praying for us all whereas in reality she will probably make a calm and concientious driver once she has more road experience.

I do that when my dad's driving. I hate going in the car with him:sad:.

<hands over tea>

I went to the cash point earlier to check that my freelance money and my first months salary had gone it. They have, but the trouble is, I'm suddenly, for me, horribly wealthy! IE, not overdrawn. The urge to spend, spend, spend is suddenly very strong....

I won't, of course, except the minor matter of a certain trike I have my eye on.

Still, it meant I could get that jollop for my sister without fainting.

The thing is, I know I do it when out with my Mum. Since it's her car, I can't really get stroppy about wanting to drive....
