Bacon butty please - I'm supposedly a veggie but I reckon a virtual backon butty is ok - none of that TVP bakon either - cr*p!

I just received an email from the Doctor's Mess inviting me to their Xmas Party - I told 'em straight - I've got enough of me own mess without clearing up after ruddy doctors!

Drop a soft fried egg on top o' that please.

Evening all!

Just took the lazy option and had a tin of soup for dinner. I was just getting in when I bumped into the lady downstairs and she invited me in for a cuppa, and by the time I got out, I couldn't be bothered to cook....

I'll put the kettle on shall I?

Tea? Yes please!

I'm feeling festive and wondering whether to make some mince pies. It feels a bit early in the season to be eating them though. Decisions:wacko:.

It's always the right time of year to be eating mince pies!

nah... homemade mince pies are an all-year-round treat. As a kid, one of my favourite Sunday dinner puddings was homemade mince-pie & custard. And one of MrWC's favourites too, as it turns out!

OK, you win! They're in the oven.;) I'm trying them with filo pastry to at least attempt to be a bit healthy.

ooh! <dribble>

hang on, filo pastry healthy? Isn't it virtually made of pure butter, and layered with more butter to cook?

Mmmm, mince pies....
