It is odd and disturbing and he seems to have a very personal reason for why he is doing this which he hasn't shared with anyone yet, but is about to...



....He is interested in how different cultures deal with death.
It is all subtitled as he has Parkinsons and only wishes to speak in German while his speach is badly slurred.

Afternoon all!

We finished in double quick time today, thanks to the Bank Holiday, and I stayed on to make up the hour of cleaning I owed, and I was still home at lunchtime! I think I need to spend the afternoon debeading tyres, just so I can move around the flat again....

One of my workmates picked up a broken brolly for me this morning, a nice dark burgundy....

Have you got a use for the metal bits left after you have removed the fabric?

An idea that youn can consider instantly dismiss:
Make a Folding (very large) Cup Cake Stand. When the umbrella is upside down, large circles of cardboard could be supported by the struts of the umbrella.

My brother was in York over the weekend. He was at a Model Railway exhibition.

The only problem is that once I get an umbrella, it's probably had several of the spokes bent or broken....

I do want, one day, to construct a three tiered cake stand that folds like an umbrella, for posh camping.

Currently, the metal bits go in the metal scrap pile at St Nicks, or at NT's, depending on where I am!
