Well, one each, two different flavours so we mixed and matched.

NT's having a nap now, which is restricting my typing style a bit, as I'm sitting on the bed beside him and he's fallen asleep sprawled a bit diagonally. I don't want to disturb him though!

We had a nice time at the carboot, and walking round town - it's the food festival, so we've bought some nice sausages for dinner, and some unusual cheeses...

Enjoying a now. NT's will go cold, I think....

Ok so I got the bike back with new wheel bearings but the freehub that was stuck on so it couldnt be changed and sounded like so I shopped around for prices on wheels, no one I rang had any stock wheels just ones built to order and I wanted them today .

As a last resort I rang the local Specialized Concept store and they have some direct replacements for my CXP22's for £104 per pair + £2.00 for the rim tape I thought to myself **** thats cheap so off I trotted and got them and here they are on my bike.

So I guess the moral of the story is before you spend £40.00 getting an old set of wheel refurbed just to find out the freehub is shot ring the last place you would have thought you would get replacements at a good price

Just been up and down the street and now after a new BB in April, new chain, new cassette, new jockey wheels and new wheels it is as quiet as a mouse

Oh I forgot and 2 x brake cables and 2 x gear cables and 4 x brake pads.

I do not mind friendly well-behaved dogs that are under their owner's control. The youngish Bull terrier had been allowed off the lead, and run away from his owner, and out of ear shot. Much as I do not like dogs, it seemed to ignore me, and when I saw a person wandering around and shouting, I put two and two twogether and started waving frantically. Fortunately my two cats were indoors asleep. Their ability to accelerate would have been severely put to the test.

I was accosted by a small dog on my way to work the other day. It ran in front of me causing me to stop, and then barked at me.

I barked back. I think I confuselated it!

I also think its owner thought I was a nutter!

We've had sausages, ratatouille and mash. And red wine!

Once the washing up is done, we will have cheese too.

The funny thing about the ratatouille is that on Thursday, I suddenly had the idea that i wanted to make some. Hadn't had it for years! So I told NT that's what we were doing for dinner. "Ok" he said. "And what IS ratatouille?" "Well," I said, "it's a tomato sauce with onion, pepper and courgette and....."

Hmmmm. Take away the aubergine, and basically my pasta sauce, which I often eat four times a week, is ratatouille....
