I walked to the Co-op yesterday and was going to buy a Snickers bar to share with a pal who was coming round for a veggie curry last night. Then I saw that single bars were 59p but packs of 4 were only £1 ...
When I got home, I received a text from bromptonfb who was riding over from Lancashire-land. He asked if I fancied meeting him for a coffee, so I got my shoes back on and went round to the cafe.
I gave Shaun one of the Snickers bars to help fuel his return trip. It seemed only polite to have one myself so I wasn't sat there staring at him while he ate his ...
I shared the 3rd bar with my dinner guest but then let slip the fact that there was a 4th bar hiding in the kitchen so I made another round of tea and we shared that one too.
A few minutes later, she looked over at me ...
"Colin - are you putting weight back on?"
"I, er, well it's like this ...!"
I think that chocolate, biscuits and cake will have to go the way of the beer until I am well enough to get back on my bike again!
