Now where is Cucumber Lane?
Now where is Cucumber Lane?
Somewhere near The Gherkin?
NT and I have had a very very hectic day. We worked very hard at having a lie in this morning
, and got up at 11, and then we walked miles into town (well, 0.1 at least)
and looked in several charity shops before settling in Nero for a coffee
, and then getting up from our table to nab a window seat easy chair when someone moved, and we exercised our arms lifting two large coffees each
plus panini and cheesecake
, before battling our way along the shopping streets
and starting our Christmas shopping
, AND getting stuff for a nice sausage and mash supper
, which involved the hard mental effort of choosing which sausages to get.
(In the end, we two each of three sorts!)
Now, it's time forand a rest.
@Speicher......what are we going to do? There's no Montalbano on this evening. There seems to be a hole in my weekend.
Perhaps I'll walk round the garden in my swimming shorts![]()
It was great if a little*envies*
I must drag myself down to that part of the world at some point. Annoyingly, I'll be zooming past on Friday and again on Sunday, en route for South Wales toget repeatedly drunk withvisit my Dad.
Bit of a cock up on the no-chocolate front last night ... My chocoholic friend was coming round so I bought a £1 special offer (huge!) bar of mint Aero for her. I ate half of it without even thinking about the fact that I am officially off chocolate!
I never liked the taste of Chinese tables - they always seem to taste of bamboo. I much prefer Italian tables, though you have to watch out for the splinters!![]()
