ELF sausages???????????????????????????
Hi Arch, you still plastered ing......^_^
They are elk sausages, I mis spelt it as elf yesterday and the name stuck!:giggle:

We have taken down a old ceiling, in the bedroom extension, and repaired and boarded out to match the ceiling in the main bedroom area. It is also battened out to take insulation. The beginnings of the bedroom and bathroom doors openings are nearly there too.

Arch has been busy on my small sliding compound mitre saw cutting timber for me so no plastering done today. With the boarding out there will be a lot of finish plastering coming up.

Worked 12 of the last 13 days (with the help of lots of tea and cake) and haven't managed a long ride out on the new steed yet (plenty of sub ten milers though) so was looking forward to today, it is lovely and sunny out there at the moment but flooded everywhere )-:
So I am going to put my feet up and do sod all today except polish off the last piece of the current Victoria sponge, drink tea and watch a Harry potter film on sky with the boys.

I woke up with every intention of going cycling with Mrs R. Had a :cuppa: and then decided that the 30mph winds were too much (I know: softy southerner) so have been on a nice 9 mile round Hampstead Heath - where we stopped for coffee and a pain-raisan

(Sorry Jo, but it's beautiful blue sky here and :sun:)

The weather here has been so bad the past few days that the canal and fields are flooded, in some places you cannot see the fields! The strong wind and rain woke us up at about 4am today, nearly got up for :cuppa: decided to go back to sleep instead. Hope everyone else is ok and not flooded

Well, the Ouse is up over the sides, but that's not abnormal. Yet. If there's a lot more rain due on the Dales, we might be in for a bit more. The fields coming over on the A64 were very waterlogged, so the ground must be saturated.

There are houses and shops still not sorted after the last big flood in September. I wonder how long it'll be before people just don't want to live on the riverside.

:hello: The heavy rain damaged my tinternet connection and my telephoney system, so it has been very quiet here. There is lots of flooding here, this town may be an island for the next few days.

I watched a horror film last night, "The Wolfman". So why  did I dream that someone was meddling with my knicker elastic?
