Well, you may have a point (although I'm failing to see the problem with alcohol, myself) but you don't get any alcohol into the beastie, or much in the way of beer flavour. I reckon a tin can with an inch or two of stock in it would have much the same effect. You could then use the remnants for making gravy.
Morning all Tvc left the house before 6 this morning to pick up a colleague and drive to London on business. Not happy about this as he is still poorly with a bad cough which keeps him awake and makes him tired TVC. That is why I am up and about so early, normally we are thinking about getting up at this time of the morning. The snow is here but not very deep. Have a good day everyone and be safe when traveling.

I'm up, NT is still in bed after an early night last night to combat whatever it is he's got. I don't know yet whether he's feeling any better. I have to go home this morning.
