My garden is a very soggy mess. I was hoping it would stay dry now for six weeks, but it looks like we will get more rain.

The patio is now very tidy. All the plants in pots, and things like the garden hose, various assorted pots, and the baby plantlets, are now all off the patio, and arranged decoratively around the garden, well out of the way of the roofers. Leo is booked in for his short holiday. Biscuits will be purchased, and there is plenty of tea and coffee in stock.

What else needs doing? Oh yes prepare this evening's dessert; treacle pudding.

How many baths do you need? Have you got a different one for each day of the week yet?


Something along the lines of "It's Saturday, today's bath is in the claw foot bath in the lounge"?

NT says we have 5 baths in and around the house (some fitted and functioning, some not yet), and three showers.

He's looking at shower trays now, as we'd made the big decision on where to fit the master ensuite shower now. We've just demolished a set of bunkbeds in the adjoining room to make space for it.

Ah cast iron baths... spend a fortune heating water to 60 degrees then throw it all away heating up the cast iron... resell it on Ebay, you need a nice warm acrylic one Arch.

I will run a coil of CH pipe under mine and then wrap it in insulation before fitting the bath panel. Nice hot cast iron doubling as a radiator!

I've also shaved, showered, removed hair from various orifices, cut my nails, trimmed my eyebrows, scrubbed my teeth, and had a power nap. Now I'm ready to take on the world.

Hope you put a thermostat on the feed pipe NT, otherwise you'll cook Arch on a gentle simmer for an hour.
