Shiny new glasses. Yes Boots is open, the optician does appointments upto 8.30, very handy. The glasses are the same prescription as I had before, or at least before I met that pikey.

What simulator have you got I use Pheonix which works with my TX. I have been trying the planes recently on the simulator I managed to master take off a loop then landing from the opposite end in about 5 hours. The only thing that worries me with planes is that if you cant turn it round it will just bugger off into the distance  with a helicopter you can just fly it backwards.

A student housemate of mine had MS FlightSim. But he had a short attention span and fiddled with the settings all the time, and I never saw him take off, fly and land all in the same aircraft and weather conditions.

He did prove that you can't land Concorde on Papa Westray, and ended up with it buried nose deep in the grass like an arrow.

Got a text from NT earlier, saying "I'm coming over early", and here he is! :wahhey:

We've had pizza for an easy dinner.:hungry: With salad. I've got to work tomorrow, and then we're going to have a nice relaxing weekend. We're planning a sort of fusion dinner for Chinese New Year, involving haggis and hoisin sauce, probably wrapped in tortillas....

You can land any MS flight sim plane anywhere, all you have to do is set enough head wind. I got a 747 on a carrier once.

I am over in York, as Arch pointed out earlier. I arrived with Tiddles towing two trailers! Though to be fair, one trailer was flat packed and strapped on top of the other one. I also brought along a hacksaw to cut up some bike frames!

I have :cuppa: and a box of Jacquot Truffes that are a little stuck together.:mrpig:

For the sake of NT's waistline and arteries, I now have custody of the Truffes. I'm just a tad more capable of resisting temptation than he is. (I made a bag of Malteasers last four nights:angel:)
