Aye. I've not tried riding it in velocino stylee, but it's monstrously unstable as it is.
I have thought of converting it to a fixie, but I had a lie down till it passed.

<hic!>

I've been in the pub....

Here, listen to this. Got to work today, boss said "I just got a text from Ethan (that's that chap whose job I took over) and he said he saw you crossing the road in town, and you've trimmed down a lot!

;)

So I've had a pint and a half and a burger for dinner!

Tea?

Got up very early this morning and dragged Bikepete to the allotment for a bit of digging. Had an annoying patch of grass that needed to be shifted, the Yorkshire fog weedy stuff. Its now in a heap at the side of the plot.

I now need to dig the other half over and get rid of the weeds so I can start putting the potatoes in.

Unfortunately the strawberry plants I put in two weeks ago whilst in their dormant stage appear to be dead, the nice new growth is about as dry and dead looking as the rest of the plants. I'm wondering if the nice fleecy blanket I tucked them in may have killed them. Oh well we can but learn.

Off to look at a greenhouse this morning.

bad luck with the strawbs... did they get watered at all? It just occurs to me that we've had a fairly dry and warm couple of weeks...

I've just had my holiday haircut, and now I'm having sushi for lunch, followed by a yoghurt and fruit compote. How healthy!

Thinking of chinese takeaway tonight....

How's Leo getting on Speicher? We've still got our paws crossed here.

I had my holiday haircut yesterday, and I'm not even going on holiday

I think I'm allergic to Holsten Pils. I had four cans last night after a short period of abstinence and feel at least three times worse than I ought to.

I've also been on a spending spree - but no single item cost more than £2, so it was a fairly cheap spree!

Now, once the immersion has heated up the water, I'll do my pre-holiday laundry.

It's proper raining here now. I'm hoping it'll be nicer tomorrow for a spin out...

I went on a spree yesterday too. I have had an economy drive recently, saved the two month council tax holiday funds and got back into the black so bought a new pair of bike shoes.

I spent an hour yesterday afternoon sat in the sunshine with scissors, scalpel and tweezers and pimped them with some Solas tape. *Bling*

Solas tape?

I bought:

Some razors, some facial cleansing wipes (yes, how girly!), a bag of smarties eggs (to take with me to decorate the rice krispie cakes I plan to make with Oli), a new set of earphones for the MP3 player, the Adrian Mole book I haven't yet read, a babygro with cars on it for Max and 4 CR2032 batteries for my back up lights.

I've got two books and a digger to take for Oli, and tonight I'll finish Mr Bunny(for Max), and possibly knit him a waistcoat.

There might be room for some clothes in my bag, too....

It's marine grade reflective tape. Very sticky and very shiny!

I did my last pair of shoes with it and it's stood up quite well to going through the washing machine a few times and coped reasonably with having overshoes pulled on and off daily. I've stuck a bit on my commuting bike as well.

Sprees all round! I've just sorted out my wedding ring.

Can you still get Christmas crackers round your way then?

Neat stuff Longers! I still have load of retroreflective tape cut off a cheap Hi-vis vest which I intend to stick or sew on things. But that looks good!
