Good grief. Just had a visit from WCMnr, taking a short break from revision and coming home to have a cup of tea with his old mum. I was pleasantly gobsmacked!

It's amazing what you can do when you're putting off revision....

Bless him anyway.

My Mum's coming for the day on Sunday, so I'm spending tomorrow cleaning....<sigh>
And no decent ride this weekend. Must make myself go out one evening after work, but once it gets to the end of the day, I just wanna go home, get the kettle on and come and mess about with you lot...

I have invested in a new teapot, which I must go and try out.
The old one is missing half of the spout.
I *was* planning on doing a ride this afternoon, but I'd have been subjected to intermittent drowning...

You are welcome to mess about with me anytime Arch. But don't rush over just yet as my Mother-in-Law is staying for a few. She jumps to conclusions you see

Bit showery here today. But my beetroot seeds are coming up (well not the seeds exactly but the tiny plants which emerge from the seeds) and so are my French Beans and Courgettes

Now for a nice cuppa .....

Beans

Has anyone else recently bean in their local Oxfam shop and sean their rows of Beans cards. With messages like "Bean Gardening", "Bean having a baby", "Bean on Holiday", "Bean Celebrating" and about a dozen more, very funny :laugh:

Off for a shower now, bean getting wet.

No... I've shopped, tidied, hoovered and had lunch. Now I have to do washing, and clean the kitchen.

When I've finished my tea.

Woohoo! Special offer on Swedish meatballs today, half price (99p, for enough for 4 or 5 meals). Got them home, counted them out into a freezer bag (so I can freeze them and remove a few at a time) and found it was an odd number, so was able to snaffle the odd one there and then....;)

I hope they taste better than the Swedish meatballs that I had once in Stockholm. I thought they would be a tastier version of Faggots, but I am no longer under that illusion.

There is an Italian market here on Monday, but the prices are very high for the bread, cheese and cakes. It might be worth trying their ice cream.

You might like to see the tin I bought on ebay earlier today.;)
(Approx 7 inches in diameter and currently in France.)

Notice that it is for cakes, not biskits, so it will not be finding its way to the Tea thread.

Does the Tea thread have any kind of prejudice against cakes? I rather think not!!!

Me neither! Indeed, a motto of mine might be "Cake? The more the merrier!"

I've got a small salmon fillet marinading in soy, sesame, garlic and ginger in the fridge, and I'm going to have it with stir fry veg and noodles. And then feel virtuous all evening.

Ooh, I think I'll have to try that this week Arch. I've got some salmon in the freezer which needs using up.
