Do not worry about that. Put the kettle on, and please find the biskits.

I'll look daft in it...

Afternoon all!

I'm having a very lazy day. Didn't even get up until half past ten!

Hoping for a ride tomorrow though. Just starting to think about dinner - I got a Mattesons sausage in the poundshop, and I'm thinking of something involving pasta and veg and stuff...

Oh, and bits of my shoulders are flaking off, as my sunburn heals...

Tea?

I'll have a tea Arch, but without any skin flakes thanks.

I'm having a lazy day too. The forecast was for a horrible headwind and rain today so me and my current cycling companion have taken refuge in a motel room. We're feeling a bit guilty now as the weather's not been quite as bad as we thought.

You might need an occassional complete day off. When I did my trip across Canada, and then down the west coast, everyday for three weeks, I travelled at least fifty miles either by train, bus or car, or plane. I could have done with a day or two not covering such mileage.

I also remember one day, wanting a cheese sandwich. Just cheese and bread, not a choice of three hundred cheeses, ninety-two pickles or whatever, just a farmhouse type of bread, and some cheddar cheese, with butter. Usually it is doughnuts  I miss when abroad. Not tea like most people.

I have a day off at least once a week. Last Saturday we went into Winnipeg for the day. Having a motel is a luxury though.

By coincidence I've just had bread and cheese for lunch. Cheese is so expensive here it's a treat but I found some brie in the reduced section. Would you believe there was cheese for $90 a kilo in Winnipeg market, that's about £60:ohmy:. It's weird because we can buy Canadian cheddar cheaper in the UK.

Were you serious about your plans to move to NS? I haven't heard you mention it since.

No, I was not serious about Nova Scotia.

Remember back to just before the World Cup started? I heard a weather report which said something like "the eyes of the whole world are on South Africa". :headshake:

So I decided to do a Non-Football thread, with lots of football references in it. With "sent off", goals, right back, etc etc. I chose Nova Scotia cos Scotland were not playing in the World Cup. Unfortunately people were not expecting me to be funny so obtuse, and missed the point. People seemed genuinely taken aback that I was moving.

Fortunately I remained completely oblivious to the World Cup. I wasn't in the least disappointed when I discovered my trip would coincide with it:smile:.

I managed to miss a bit of it in France - although I was willing to support France if need be...

Tea for everyone, minus skin flakes. I'm just going to have my second mug, the first one after my ride didn't touch the sides on the way down.

Jumping on the scales before my shower showed I was definitely to the lower end of 9 stone - but I suspect it's mostly dehydration, and sort of forgetting to have lunch, now remedied with some toast.

I guess the pot's gone cold by now but I could do with one. It's just taken me 8 hours to cycle 60 miles thanks to a lovely headwind on the prairies...
