Bit of a pottering day today - got my camera back after repair from Jessops, got my first bit of Christmas shopping, squandered a quid or two in the Pound Shop. Had a bacon sandwich for lunch. Did some laundry. Starting to think about dinner, but will probably watch Strictly first. What an exciting life. Still, this time last week, I was just back from Whitby, so I deserve some easy time.

Just trying to work out how to get up to the Blackheath fireworks with Misty and avoid the hoards.
It's a nightmare every year.

That was muted as about the only way to avoid getting trapped among several hundered people all leaving at the same time.

Might try and cycle there and leave as soon as the fireworks stop.
The problem is that the sheer volume of visitors mean the traffic gets held up for ages after the display, the buses are full and car drivers get impatient to get away.

The council could well do to create temporary car parks and marshall the crowds along organised routes to stop this happening.

I hate crowds at the best of times.

If only we knew how to fly a human-powered helicopter...

Thing is Misty went to another display last night only to get a bit of ash in her eye and ending up in A&E getting it flushed.

Technically we could miss this display but I know it will be a good show and getting there and back would be enough to get Misty to sleep well tonight.

More tea please while I ponder the scenario.......

If God had meant for man to fly he wouldn't have given us the A380.

I like the A380. Trouble is, it doesn't look all that distinctive. The 747 has the hump on top, which looks kind of nice, whereas the A380 is just big.
There will never be a plane that looks as gorgeous as Concorde. The world is a poorer place now it's gone.

Attend the fireworks and ignore the crowds. You know you want too for Misty's sake. TheDoctor could lend you his TARDIS.
