oh apologies  but you did state you had a heavy rusksack. ;)

Yeah, somehow, despite swapping two bags of presents for other people, for one bag of presents for me, it was no lighter or less full coming home...

Oh! I've just spotted the typo....

As you were....

I must admit to a bit of a shopping spree today.

A short lightweight fleecey dressing gown, admittedly in a very girly pink.
One Paddington Bear, about 12" tall, with red duffle coat and blue hat, no wellingtons tho, still if he stays indoors he won't need Wellingtons. As I was walking around the shop looking at other items, I was asked if he had a marmelade sandwich under his hat. Both items above were purchased in the very excellent Charity shops.

Two  fleeces, but really these were a birthday and a Christmas present from my Mother who is too old to do shopping herself. Fleeces purchased on-line in Craghopper's sale.

Did you stick to the plan and buy a size smaller for your new year look?
Don't think it affects feet so I bought normal size 10 boots

No, ;) the plan was to just buy one that fits now. For now I will be able to wear the new ones on their own*, and as I loose weight, I would be able to wear a tee-shirt or blouse underneath. Then when I reach nearer the target weight they would be loose enough for very active days, walking or travelling etc. I have thought this through you know!

* with trousers, and socks etc etc.

The 'quick' kettle is getting very well used today, plenty of tea and co*f*e being drunk.
By my recent standards my calorie intake has been fairly low* today.
Watching 'Most shocking celeb moments' on channel 5, hours of entertainment

*less than 5000

Owww just spilled half my coffee over my lap whilst trying to type

 Max is soooo cuuuuuute.

I've just remembered, Max was the recipient of the worse present of the season, from a friend of Mum's. A knitted Andy Pandy suit, complete with blue and white stripes, and frilly wrists and cuffs. Must have taken her ages to knit, but....

My sister unwrapped it while we were all in the other room, and we came back to find her incoherent with laughter and despair. It's going to take a lot of tact. He'll probably have to wear it at some stage. The thing is, it's a bit big, he'll probably be 12-14 months when it fits. Old enough for him to be embarrassed!

I was very please to see Oli's tanktop in use (the blue and white striped one he's wearing on Xmas Day). I knitted that for him when he was about Max's age, and it's sort of stretched with him - a bit short in the body now, but I think he looks quite smart in it!

Right, I'm off. Got a train to catch.

Put Andy Pandy suit on Oli (bribery may be required). Max will then want it. No embarrasment involved.

Mrs 26x25 is making a turkey pie for Din Dins. But all daughters are present and correct so there may not be any left for you Tea folks. I'll try my best for you tho'

It's the thought that counts 26x25

I quite fancy a curry for tea, fed up of all the Christmas food now. Yes chicken madras and a bottle of Bulmers will hit the spot.
Off to Tesco to try my new walking boots out, it's at least 1/4 mile walk

Yes, Potsy you would not want to overdo on your first walk with them. I am sure they will be much more comfortable than stiff leather ones. Have you got some soft comfy socks to wear with them?

Could you bring me some of my favourite chocs please? ;)

Just treated myself to some thermal walking socks and some professional walking socks, should keep me going for a few months.
Aww sorry they have sold out, but I did manage to place my trolley under a huge falling box of profiteroles (sp) and keep them safe
