:hello:

I am often awake at 4am, making a pot of tea. But then I go back to bed and read for a bit.

Well I'm awake and raring to go- but it's chucking it down!! Think I'll designate today a 'rest day'

Car needs a run out anyway,
Tea has been drunk and I'm having my coco pops for brekkie

Morning,

I seem to be feeling a lot better today, not 100% as my eyes are tired. That is probably due to the overall lack of sleep I think, but I feel awake which is a good thing.

Got tea, had breakfast and need to get an appointment with my accountant sorted out.

Oh, got a gp appointment in half an hour so I'd better get a move on. Typical though, get to see a gp and I start feeling better.

I overslept this morning. Didn't realise what time is was until my mum was shouting up the stairs at 9am . I hate the dark mornings.

Best get going as I WILL get my bike out today.

Well, back form the gp a while ago. I may still have a chest infection, from last year, as there is noise in my right lung. On ABs now to see if it clears up, if not then X-rays and blood tests.

Still, my satnav arrived today so I am setting it up before heading off to work.

Can't you find your way to work yet NT?

Potsy - how can you come onto a Tea thread and admit to drinking coffee .

Hope you're soon better NT.

I've managed my second bike ride of the year. It feels like I've lost loads of fitness since Canada . Difficult to tell until I get my Galaxy back and can do a direct comparison though. It always runs better than my Giant.

Oh, I hope the ABs sort it out - good to know what it might be at least. Unspecific weariness is the sort of thing that could take ages to diagnose. Hopefully feeling better is a good sign.

Tea anyone? I'm just in, spent most of the day trike fettling, or fetching bits with which to fettle, from the bike shop. Fettling included (look away now, Ian) gouging the kack off the jockey wheels with a screwdriver...

They did some tidying in the office, and set up some new shelves, very organised. My boss has a piece of plastic tube he uses to reach under his desk to flick the socket power switch off at the end of the day, which now hangs on it's own hook on the shelf, complete with wound twine handle, and written along it in permanant marker "The pokey turney offy stick".

I love where I work...

Yeah, I felt like I'd lost a load just because I was walking to work when it was icy. It'll come back - your base fitness is still there.

4 weeks off the bike in December and boy did I know about it on my first couple of rides back last week, my plan is to try and keep doing 3-4 days per week for now, and get back to the full 5 days by Spring/Summer.
Pie and mash for tea, proper northern stuff

So kind of you to be concerned about my food parcel, Pots. ;) I will not be starving for a few weeks yet.

Tomorrow afternoon, I have to go to the Fracture clinic, to see how the finger is improving. The knuckle joint below the damaged one is aching a lot, probably because it is constrained by the splint.

Just wondered what treats you had got me? Just had a packet of Tesco 'crunchy claws' in no way are they a rip-off of monster munch

It's not natural for your fingers to be straight, no wonder it's aching. At least you are being brave and not mentioning it much

Oooh, you're treading on ice thinner than the St Nicks pond!*

*Which is actually quite thick. There's a thin layer on top, then a layer of water, then solid ice under that.

I hope, Speicher, that your finger is healing well.
